We're seeking a seasoned Senior Structural Bridge Engineer to join our Canadian Operations within our Engineering Design Organization, supporting Transportation projects. As a key member of our Bridge and Transportation Group, you'll collaborate with globally connected specialists to solve complex transport challenges and drive innovation.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale projects across the Transportation spectrum, including highways, roads, and bridges. You'll be responsible for providing technical leadership and mentorship to intermediate and junior staff, while contributing to the design and engineering of bridge projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in and complete multi-disciplined bridge projects, rail bridges, and complex design
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to intermediate and junior staff
  • Collaborate in small and large teams, leading the integration with other engineering disciplines
  • Produce conceptual design, detailed design, technical specifications, cost, and schedule estimating
  • Work within various procurement models and roles
  • Prepare reports and contract documents for review agencies, clients, and the public
  • Maintain contact with sub-consultants, municipalities, utility companies, and clients
  • Exposure to project planning, development, and monitoring of project schedules and budgets
Requirements
  • Professional Engineering (P. Eng) license with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)
  • 15+ years of experience in design and engineering of bridge projects
  • Experience and understanding of alternative delivery methodology
  • Metrolinx and AREMA experience
  • CN Rail, CP Rail, and MTO experience considered an asset
  • Familiarity with the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CHBDC), Ontario design standards (OPSS), and client-specific standards and requirements
  • Experience in managing/mentoring or leading a group considered an asset
  • Bilingualism in English and French considered an asset
