Port Elgin Montessori Preschool Cleaning Job Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented cleaning professional to join our team at Port Elgin Montessori Preschool Inc. as a Cleaning Assistant. This temporary position is perfect for individuals who enjoy working independently and have a strong commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Work Term: Temporary
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 30 hours per week
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
  • Work Setting: School or educational institution/establishment, Children's services facility
  • Tasks: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, Dust furniture, Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Wash windows, walls and ceilings, Perform routine maintenance, Maintain supplies, Clean, polish and wax furniture, Wash and clean interior and exterior windows and other glass surfaces, Vacuum floors, Shampoo upholstery, Perform general cleaning duties (i.e. sweeping, mopping floors), Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures, Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs, Mix and add detergents, dyes, bleaches, starches and other solutions and chemicals, Ensure safety procedures are followed
