Job Summary

Lord Elgin Fish & Chips is seeking a skilled Food Service Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service and support to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings.
  • Description of menu items including daily specials for customers.
  • Advise on menu selections and assist clients/guests with special needs.
  • Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs, and provide customer service.
  • Greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages.
  • Serve food and beverages and take orders to relay to kitchen and bar staff.
Requirements
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads.
  • Standing for extended periods and ability to work under pressure.
  • Capacity to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and flexibility in work schedule.
  • Health care plan and permanent work term.
