Job Title: Early Childhood Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Little Bloomers Childcare Centre.

Job Summary:

The Early Childhood Assistant will provide support to our early childhood educators in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for children aged 0-5 years. This role involves assisting with daily routines, activities, and programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that meet the needs of children.
  • Support the development of children’s skills and abilities through play-based activities and educational programs.
  • Assist with daily routines, including mealtime, rest periods, and transitions.
  • Engage children in activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including cleaning and sanitizing toys and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with children, families, and staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience working with children aged 0-5 years.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and move children and equipment.
