Job Description:

The Bank of Montreal's Global Equity team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Global Equity Analyst. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing qualitative and financial analysis on companies within the consumer discretionary and staples sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of companies within the consumer discretionary and staples sectors
  • Develop and articulate a deep sector perspective
  • Pitch timely and actionable investment recommendations and sector ideas
  • Conduct independent research and develop differentiated insights
  • Publish reports that include in-depth and critical research/analysis and investment rationale
  • Collaborate with other analysts to broaden understanding of a subject

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum 2-4 years of related or direct experience in the investment management industry
  • Progress toward CFA charter preferred but not required
  • Previous experience in deep, differentiated fundamental analysis within the investment industry
  • Working knowledge of capital markets and investment management
  • Deep curiosity on subject matter
  • Articulate and confident communication skills
  • Desire to contribute meaningfully in a small, entrepreneurial team environment
  • Proven ability to take projects from start to finish
  • Willingness to work independently while developing within a culture of mentorship and collaboration
  • Team player who can support Portfolio Managers and other Analysts in report writing and ad-hoc projects
  • An open and inquisitive mind willing to accept new ideas while challenging existing assumptions
  • Desire to build a long-term career with a strong, growing organization

Salary: $76,300. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.

BMO Financial Group's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards. BMO also offers health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
