About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Reliability Engineer to join our Global Technology Services Management and Support Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement application monitoring strategies.
  • Design and implement monitoring solutions using Synthetics, APM, and Infrastructure tools.
  • Develop new application monitors, dashboards, and creative solutions to improve system reliability and customer experience.
  • Utilize scripting languages and APIs to create automation solutions.
  • Apply problem-solving skills and tooling to identify application issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Create visibility of operational data and help stakeholders understand its significance.
  • Support and enhance our current toolset to ensure seamless operations.
  • Promote reliability engineering best practices within the team and across the organization.
  • Communicate effectively with business stakeholders to ensure comprehensive information sharing.
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal teams and adapt to evolving priorities.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in a technical role in IT, including co-op experiences.
  • Coding experience with NodeJS or JavaScript.
  • Scripting experience with languages such as PowerShell or Python.
  • Experience with monitoring tools: New Relic, Dynatrace, CA APM, PRTG.
  • Data-driven approach and passion for using data to drive decision-making.
  • Dedication to continuous learning and ability to work independently.
  • Focus on creating excellent customer experiences.

  • Clear, concise, and tactful communication skills.
  • Caring for fellow team members and fostering a collaborative environment.

  • Familiarity with AI Operations tooling such as Moogsoft.
  • Understanding of Reliability Engineering and its benefits.
  • Sense of humor and ability to have fun in a team environment.
  • Vendor management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change and overcome barriers.
  • Understanding of the Financial Services or Insurance Industry and/or Large Enterprise knowledge.
  • ITILTM Foundations or Practitioner level certifications (especially Support Operations).
