Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee entire construction project to ensure timely completion and within budget.
  • Provide leadership to promote productivity on site and maintain accountability for field costs.
  • Plan the construction project to establish effective organization and direct the overall construction program.
  • Recommend the award of construction contracts based on the analysis of the estimating department and negotiate contractual terms with the selected contractor(s).
  • Develop a plan for turnover of the completed facility to Operations and ensure that turnover is completed on schedule.
  • Coordinate with municipal authorities as required for public relations, permits and construction interfaces.
  • Ensure jobsite procedures and controls are implemented by all personnel.

Requirements:

  • Strong computer skills and experience working within software programs such as Microsoft Office (Excel) and Proprietary Software.
  • Able to mentor Field Engineers and young Project Managers.
  • Good people skills and excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong background in earth works and underground utilities.
  • A valid drivers license (class 5) is required.
  • A driver's abstract is required and must be obtained no more than 30 days prior to employment start date.
  • Proficient English language skills required.
  • Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
