Job Title: Heavy Construction Crew Foreman/Woman

Aecon Infrastructure Management Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Construction Crew Foreman/Woman to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Heavy Construction Crew Foreman/Woman will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a heavy construction crew, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of a heavy construction crew, including heavy equipment operators, laborers, and other support staff.
  • Ensure that all crew members are aware of and comply with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that work is being performed in accordance with project plans and specifications.
  • Identify and report any potential safety hazards or issues to management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve crew productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that project goals and objectives are met.
  • Prepare and submit reports on crew performance, safety incidents, and other relevant information.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a heavy construction crew leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading a team to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of heavy construction methods, materials, and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
