Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced 5-Ton Night Driver to join our team based out of Middleton, NS. As a 5-Ton Night Driver, you will be responsible for driving a 5-ton truck, picking up and delivering various items to different locations, and performing physical labor/handling of shipments weighing up to 50-75 lbs.
Responsibilities:
- Drive a 5-ton truck
- Pick up and deliver various items to different locations
- Perform physical labor/handling of shipments weighing up to 50-75 lbs
- Load and unload deliveries through various mechanisms and delivery assistance devices
- Use technology to map routes, deliver/pick up/track shipments, and communicate universally
- Ensure documents are delivered and entered accurately
- Maintain route supply inventory to ensure prompt delivery to customers
- Maintain accurate daily paperwork and turn it in accordingly
- Perform all customer tasks in a polite, resourceful, and professional manner with excellent customer service throughout the process
Requirements:
- 2-3 years' experience driving professionally preferred
- Ability to multitask and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work
- Reliable and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and make responsible decisions
- Good listening and verbal communication skills
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License (required)
- Class 3 considered an asset
