Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Utilities Lead to join our team at Convergint Technologies Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and executing the scope of work for exposing and repairing underground utilities piping systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Coordinator and Supervisor to plan the scope of work for exposing and repairing underground utilities piping systems.
  • Lead a team to identify leaks in potable, utility, and fire water systems, as well as other industrial piping systems.
  • Conduct non-destructive and destructive testing and compaction testing.
  • Work with procurement to purchase required materials and manage inventory.
  • Lead daily toolbox talks and oversee the team on the customer site, including managing weekly working rotations to ensure all planned work is handled in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Participate in field work when required.
  • Execute all work in accordance with Provincial, local regulations, general best practices, and company health and safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of previous relevant field experience.
  • Significant experience working with underground utilities and civil construction.
  • Ground disturbance level 2.
  • Previous team leadership or management responsibility.
  • Good computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Knowledge in SAP considered an asset.
