Mechanical Engineer Drafter

As a Mechanical Engineer Drafter at ANDRITZ Hydro Canada, you will be part of a team that has over 170 years of experience in turbine design and has delivered over 32,000 turbine units worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare 3D models and 2D drawings from references, sketches, or instructions from engineers or senior designers.
- Create drawing-associated material lists.
- Review drawings and material lists to ensure they comply with customer specifications and internal design standards.
- Ensure designs can be manufactured, are transportable, and operational.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Data entry into the material resource planning system (SAP).
- Perform drawings revisions.
- Responsible for the execution time of your own work and participates in schedule updates.
- Responsible for the quality and precision of your work.
- College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Good knowledge of heavy mechanical equipment, welded structures, methods of manufacturing, and machining as well as drafting rules and practices.
- Strong background in 3D design.
- Autonomous.
- Teamwork skills.
- Fluency in French and English.
- Knowledge of Unigraphics NX8, Teamcenter, and SAP an asset.
- Knowledge of hydro turbine (turbine and generator) an asset.
