Purchasing Manager Job Description
At Alberta Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign projects and programs to the purchasing and warehouse departments across the organization.
- Coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling, and distributing materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies.
- Evaluate daily operations to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Plan and control budget and expenditures.
- Plan and organize daily operations to meet business objectives.
- Review purchase order claims and contracts to determine compliance with company policy.
- Plan, develop, and implement purchasing policies and procedures.
- Oversee the evaluation of the cost and quality of goods or services.
- Authorize the development of specifications for products or services.
- Manage contracts and negotiate with suppliers.
- Review and process claims against suppliers.
- Lead sales team in building relationships with business clients and manage negotiations of sales contracts.
- Organize and maintain inventory.
Requirements:
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Permanent employment.
- English language proficiency.
- 40 hours per week.
