Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Urban Enforcement Officer to join our team at Allied Universal. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for enforcing parking regulations and ensuring the safety of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Parking Enforcement: Conduct daily patrols of assigned routes and surface lots, issuing citations and managing mobile enforcement areas.
  • Knowledge of Regulations: Have thorough knowledge of all parking regulations, by-laws and procedures and enforce them through the issuance of a Parking Offence Notice (PON) in accordance with the policies of the Winnipeg Parking Authority.
  • Customer Service: Provide exemplary customer service, ensuring accuracy in citations and photographic documentation.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Report and document anomalies such as stolen or abandoned vehicles, completing incident reports as needed.
  • Compliance and Record-Keeping: Oversee and ensure compliance with urban patrol, surface lot, and officer error reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
Requirements
  • Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Physical Demands: Works in both indoor and outdoor environments. Exposure to all climate conditions, including cold and heat.
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Physical Abilities: Physically capable of standing or walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 20 kilograms.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Communication Skills: Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Technical Skills: Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Industry Knowledge: Skilled in the standards, concepts, practices, and procedures within the parking enforcement industry.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.
