Job Title: Treatment Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Treatment Nurse to join our team at the Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Woodland Wellness Centre in La Ronge, SK.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide specialized nursing care to participants, evaluate progress, and update care plans as needed. They will also perform nursing treatments and procedures, transcribe medications, and maintain participant confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to participants, including assessments, treatments, and procedures.
  • Evaluate participant progress and update care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Transcribe medications and update medication administration records.
  • Maintain participant confidentiality and adhere to Lac La Ronge Indian Band policies.
  • Document participant information accurately and thoroughly.
  • Act as a participant advocate and liaison between community programs and LLRIB.
  • Consult with healthcare professionals and service providers as needed.
  • Provide education and resources to participants on health and healing.
  • Assist in the development and review of policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Registered with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Saskatchewan (CLPNS) or CRNS or RPNAS.
  • In good standing with the CLPNS, or CRNS or RPNAS.
  • Minimum two years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently.
  • Ability to speak/understand Cree would be an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable vehicle.
  • Satisfactory and recent Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, and SGI Driver's Abstract.
