We are looking for a meticulous, efficient, and organized professional to provide reception, administrative support, and transportation services for clients of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band. The ideal candidate will be tasked with informing community members about the First Nations and Inuit Health (FNIH) role in assisting with patient transportation, in addition to scheduling appointments and offering general office assistance.
Position Overview:
As a Healthcare Transportation Coordinator, you will engage in various responsibilities including administrative tasks, appointment scheduling, form preparation, and inventory management. This position is vital for the smooth functioning of the Medical Transportation Program at the Lac La Ronge Indian Band.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative duties such as answering calls, typing documents, and organizing filing systems
- Attend team meetings and oversee inventory management
- Prepare necessary forms and certificates
- Coordinate medical transportation and appointment scheduling
- Educate community members regarding patient transportation services
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum Certificate in Administration or relevant experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in a First Nations organization is advantageous
- Knowledge of Cree language is a plus
- Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License
