Job Title: Clinical Specialist

Shared Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist to join our team. As a Clinical Specialist, you will play a key role in addressing key clinical issues and providing clinical expertise and leadership in the areas of clinical practice, consultation, supervision, inter-professional collaboration, education and training, quality improvement, and research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical expertise and leadership in the areas of clinical practice, consultation, supervision, inter-professional collaboration, education and training, quality improvement, and research.
  • Lead the development and implementation of clinical programs and services that promote excellence in the delivery of relevant, evidence-based clinical interventions within the integrated mental health and addictions (MHA) system.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary staff and promote inter-professional practice to improve patient outcomes and experience.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with individuals, families, groups, and communities to promote holistic health care and varied community and social perspectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and evidence-based treatments in the field of mental health and addictions.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field required.
  • Minimum of four (4) years' clinical practice in community mental health/addictions services.
  • Two (2) years' experience in consultative or supervisory role.
  • Skills and experience in staff training and development within a continuous learning environment.
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary staff and promoting inter-professional practice.
  • Experience in program planning, evaluation and development.

  • Demonstrated understanding of quality assurance principles.
  • Demonstrated inter-professional collaborative team building abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve in complex situations.
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to holistic health care and varied community and social perspectives.
