Job Summary

The Government of Manitoba is seeking a Behavioural Specialist to join our team in the Department of Families, Disability Programs and Specialized Services, Community Service Delivery. As a Behavioural Specialist, you will provide clinical psychological/behavioural services to referred children, adolescents and adults with developmental/intellectual disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a broad range of clinical psychological/behavioural services to referred clients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Develop and implement behaviour intervention plans to support clients with developmental/intellectual disabilities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide public education and consultation on clinical issues related to individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities.
  • Conduct assessments and provide recommendations for clients with complex needs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community groups and agencies to provide consultation and support.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Psychology (Clinical, Applied Behaviour Analysis or School) from an accredited graduate program.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities.
  • Experience providing clinical/behavioural intervention to children, adolescents, and/or adults.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and develop relationships with clients, families, and service providers.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in tight timeframes.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience administering and interpreting psychological assessments.
  • Knowledge of issues relevant to intellectual/cognitive assessment and diagnosis of intellectual and neurodevelopmental disorders.
