Job Summary

Rideauwood Addiction and Family Services is seeking a skilled Addiction Counsellor to join our team. As an essential member of our staff, you will provide individualized support to clients with addiction issues, helping them navigate their journey towards recovery.

About the Role

This full-time temporary position requires a highly motivated and compassionate professional with experience in facilitation and co-facilitation of group programming for youth, adults, and parents. Your thorough knowledge of contemporary assessment and psychosocial counselling techniques will enable you to effectively address addiction and mental health issues among your clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counselling services to clients with addiction and mental health issues.
  • Develop and deliver training and consultation activities for partner agencies as a knowledge broker and content expert.
  • Participate in community presentations and meetings, actively promoting Rideauwood's mission and values.
  • Contribute to administrative and teamwork functions, ensuring seamless collaboration with colleagues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a health or social sciences related discipline from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Minimum three years of experience in facilitation or co-facilitation of group programming for youth, adults, and parents.
  • Registration and/or certification with a professional college or licensing body is desired.
  • Familiarity with computers, including Microsoft Office suite of tools.
