Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at SimplySmart Child Care Centre. As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our child care centre and contributing to the development of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including cleaning and organizing the play area, and preparing snacks and meals.
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing activities that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and crafts, and support their learning and development.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a child care setting.
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
  • Immunization records, Tuberculosis test, and Vulnerable sector check.
