About the Role

As a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), you will provide patient-oriented, goal-directed nursing care in accordance with provincial standards. This includes implementing and evaluating care plans, completing clinical care assessments, and communicating changes as required.

You will also teach, delegate, and direct unregulated care providers, providing coaching and mentorship to ensure high-quality care.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse in the applicable province.
  • Demonstrated sound clinical knowledge and experience working with seniors and unregulated care providers.
  • Education and experience in gerontology, rehabilitation, community/complex/long-term care are assets.
  • Strong drive, respect, and understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role.
  • Focus on teamwork and customer service with the ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
  • Computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft office applications.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification.
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or willingness to obtain one.
