Radiation Therapy Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Therapy Specialist to join our team at the Walker Family Cancer Centre in Niagara, Canada. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity for a Radiation Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in a state-of-the-art radiation therapy department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for administering radiation treatment according to radiation oncologists' orders, adhering to CMRITO standards of practice, and documenting technical and patient-related treatment information.
Responsibilities:- Administer radiation treatment according to radiation oncologists' orders for the delivery of radiation planning and treatment.
- Adhere to CMRITO Standards of Practice.
- Document technical and patient-related treatment information.
- Integrate reflection, critical thinking, education, and relevant practical experience in problem-solving.
- Active participation in quality assurance programs.
- Perform other related duties and activities as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Radiation Technology Program in Radiation Therapy.
- Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario in Radiation Therapy M.R.T(T).
- Current CMRITO membership.
- Current BCLS certification with ongoing re-certification mandatory.
- Excellent technical, communication, organizational, patient assessment, and critical analysis skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated adaptability, flexibility, compassion, and initiative when dealing with patients/families.
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize workload.
- Applies NH values and professional practice standards to patient/client care and service.
- Knowledge of computer systems and general office software.
- Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset.
- Consistent and regular attendance required.
The salary range for this position is approximately $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, paid vacation time, and opportunities for professional development.
