Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Social Worker I-MSW to join our team at BC Children's Hospital. As a Social Worker I-MSW, you will be responsible for providing mental health clinical intervention to children, youth, and their families in a child and youth mental health standard setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and provide individual, family, and group therapy to children, youth, and their families.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide education, short-term counseling, and crisis intervention to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with community agencies and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in program planning and development to enhance system processes and resources for patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited School of Social Work.
  • Minimum 1 year recent related clinical experience working within a child, youth, and women's mental health and substance use setting.
  • Current full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers.
