Mental Health Specialist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Social Worker I to join our team at PHSA, providing mental health services to adults in Vancouver, BC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psycho-social assessments and develop therapeutic plans to support clients with complex mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate care coordination and case management.
  • Provide individual, family, and group counseling services to promote emotional well-being and coping skills.
  • Develop and maintain client records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress.
  • Participate in clinical conferences and case reviews to ensure effective treatment planning and coordination.

Requirements:

  • Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from an accredited program.
  • Current registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers.
  • Experience working with adults with complex mental health needs.
  • Strong counseling and case management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
