About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Specialist to join our team at JD Collins Fire Protection Company INC. As a Fire Protection Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining sprinkler systems, ensuring the safety of our clients and their properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain sprinkler systems, including pipes, fittings, and sprinkler heads
  • Service and repair sprinkler systems, including testing for leaks and cleaning and maintaining pipe units and fittings
  • Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems
  • Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
  • Select type and size of pipe required
  • Test system for leaks using testing equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in fire protection
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Sprinkler System Installer Red Seal Certificate
  • Driver's License
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
Work Environment

This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, and working in various locations.
