Job Description

EBC Inc. is a growing construction company with projects across Canada in diverse and stimulating sectors.

We are seeking an ambitious Construction Engineering Intern to join our team in Vancouver. As an intern, you will be involved in various tasks typically assigned to a Field Engineer, including planning, organizing, and supporting project works.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring daily work progress through technical and administrative tasks assigned to you;
  • Planning and overseeing work coordination with foremen, surveyors, superintendents, engineers, project managers, and subcontractors;
  • Preparing and following up on technical issues in plans and specifications;
  • Preparing, monitoring, analyzing, and managing subcontractor files;
  • Contributing to contract negotiations when necessary;
  • Contributing to project scheduling;
  • Obtaining permits and authorizations required to carry out works;
  • Planning and checking material orders as needed;
  • Following up on "Conflict detection" when the project is executed in BIM;
  • Reviewing and communicating technical questions and change requests to the customer representative and following up when required;
  • Planning, supervising, and contributing to the development of appropriate construction methods and processes per contractual requirements while respecting current health and safety requirements;
  • Participating in site meetings with various project stakeholders;
  • Following up and managing deficiencies at the end of the project;
  • Contributing to traffic management when required.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering in progress;
  • Relevant experience in engineering or construction is an asset;
  • A driver's license and/or ability to travel may be required in some cases.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year (depending on location and experience)
