Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing and developing specialized tools, jigs, and fixtures for the manufacturing and assembly of aerospace components and systems
- Collaborate with manufacturing and design engineers to understand specific manufacturing requirements and constraints
- Participate in feasibility studies and provide recommendations for tooling solutions that enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed tool designs, including 3D models, drawings, and specifications
- Join design reviews with cross-functional teams to ensure tool designs meet project requirements and standards
The salary for this position is estimated at $32.00 per hour, commensurate with the level of the position. Sierra Space offers a generous benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with 150% match up to 8%, life insurance, 3 weeks paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.

The minimum qualifications for this position include being currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, having at least one academic term remaining after the completion of the internship, and meeting the required skills and qualifications listed below.

- Students must be a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior undergraduate student or enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. Program
- Strong skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio

- Strong organization skills and work ethic; detail oriented
