Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Digital Governance Lead to join our team at the Bank of Montreal. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in IT governance, risk, and audit to drive strategic business decisions.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of IT governance programs across the organization. Your primary focus will be on providing strategic input into risk-related business decisions as a trusted advisor for the Technology & Operations (T&O) unit.

You will act as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations, policies, and internal directives and standards for the T&O Unit. Additionally, you will represent the governance structure during internal/external regulatory audits and examinations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides strategic input into risk-related business decisions as a trusted advisor for the T&O unit.
  • Leverages knowledge of various technologies, including distributed and mainframe legacy systems, to drive IT governance initiatives.
  • Represents the governance structure during internal/external regulatory audits and/or examinations.
  • Leads the intake of IT audit/regulatory engagements and coordinates technical subject matter experts to ensure successful delivery.
  • Ensures adherence to policies/guidelines and provides programs/processes/practices to promote transparency, accuracy, and consistency across the organization.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Typically, 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of various technologies, infrastructure operations, and support structures.
  • Experience with infrastructure audit and compliance, including IT risk & controls development.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse audiences.
What We Offer

At BMO Financial Group, we offer a comprehensive compensation package that includes a salary range of $92,400.00 - $171,600.00 per year, paid bi-weekly. Our total compensation package also includes performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
