We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team at PROTAX CANADA INC. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and reconciling accounts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, with experience in using accounting software and MS Excel. You will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
  • Prepare tax returns
  • Reconcile accounts

Requirements:

  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping
  • Permanent employment
  • 35 hours per week
  • English as the primary language of work
