Forensic Technology Manager, Document Review eDiscovery Role

KPMG in Canada is seeking a skilled Forensic Technology Manager to lead our document review and eDiscovery team. As a key member of our Forensic Technology team, you will be responsible for managing and executing client engagements, overseeing a team of document reviewers, and ensuring seamless coordination with client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
As a Forensic Technology Manager, you will drive the development and implementation of document review protocols, manage and allocate resources to meet project deadlines, and play a central role in managing the document review process. Your responsibilities will include:
- Directing and supervising a team of document review professionals, providing clear instruction and oversight while fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Developing document review protocols and conducting training sessions for the document review team.
- Efficiently allocating and managing review resources, ensuring alignment with project deadlines and client specifications.
- Implementing rigorous quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and consistency of the review process, proactively identifying and addressing issues to ensure timely delivery of high-quality services.
- Monitoring and reporting on review progress and proactively identifying and addressing issues to ensure consistency, accuracy, and timely delivery of services.
- Utilizing analytics to optimize the document review process.
- Conducting second-level reviews and quality assurance assessments when necessary.
- Serving as the primary client liaison, addressing client requirements, providing updates, monitoring budgets, and managing expectations to develop client relationships.
- Preparing reports documenting all facets of the review process.
- Contributing to business development initiatives by drafting proposals, creating materials, and actively engaging with potential clients through presentations and client events.
- As needed, supporting the broader Forensic Technology and eDiscovery practice in file delivery.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Three-to-five years of relevant experience managing eDiscovery document review projects.
- Experience using the Relativity platform.
- Strong relationship management, analytical skills, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Candidate should have an interest in and an ability to rapidly learn new tools and technologies.
- A detailed knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and workflows.
- Demonstrated skills in project management and capable of managing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities.
- A professional, collaborative, and client-oriented attitude.
