About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Machine Shop Operator to join our team at Roll-Kraft Ltd. as a Lathe Setup Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating precision machinery to produce high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Measure Parts: Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers) to ensure accuracy and conformance to specifications.
  • Read and Interpret Engineering Drawings: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to understand production requirements.
  • Assemble and Fit Components: Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance, ensuring precise fit and finish.
  • Document and Report: Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances, maintaining accurate inspection records and completing inspection reports.
  • Maintain Machinery and Tools: Set up and adjust production machinery and tools, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Verify Product Dimensions: Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
Work Environment and Requirements
  • Work Setting: General manufacturing environment with a focus on precision machining.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail, physical stamina, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
