About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CNC machinist to join our team, bringing with them a wealth of knowledge and expertise in operating 5-axis CNC vertical milling machines. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up and operating 5-axis CNC machines with precision and accuracy.
  • Utilizing tools, fixtures, and indicators to ensure optimal machine setup.
  • Loading, unloading, changing, and modifying programs as required.
  • Changing and setting cutting tools with precision.
  • Modifying and grinding tools as necessary.
  • Adjusting feeds and speeds for maximum efficiency.
  • Operating the machine with all safety precautions in place.
  • Deburring and preparing parts for loading and unloading.
  • Measuring and inspecting parts to ensure dimensions are within tolerance.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Understanding geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • At least 10 years of experience in CNC machining.
  • A certificate of qualification, college degree, or other training in CNC machining is an asset.
  • Fanuc or Haas experience is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Mastercam is preferred.
  • Previous aerospace experience is preferred.
  • Previous jobbing shop experience is preferred.
