Production Supervisor

About the Role
The Production Supervisor is responsible for coordinating daily production activities within their department to achieve the required Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) standards. This includes ensuring quality, safety, and maintenance needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with scheduling and production management to set daily production priorities.
- Ensure established OEE quality/availability/performance and safety standards are communicated and achieved within the department.
- Maintain 5-S standards and measures within the department.
- Conduct team meetings with departmental employees covering current OEE, product, quality, and safety information.
- Initiate employee counseling and disciplinary action.
- Maintain close communication and coordination with other production departments and shifts to ensure priorities are met.
- Ensure training requirements for each departmental employee are identified and plans are in place to close gaps.
- Perform a minimum of one yearly performance evaluation for each departmental employee.
Requirements
- Minimum grade 12 diploma or equivalent is an asset.
- Superior organizational and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of the occupational health and safety act.
- A minimum of three (3) years, preferably in a team lead role, is desirable.
