Level Design Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Level Design Director to join our team at Ubisoft Entertainment. As a key member of our game development team, you will be responsible for crafting engaging and immersive gameplay experiences for our players.
Your primary focus will be on designing and implementing level design concepts, collaborating with the world design director and other core team members to define the game's vision, and guiding a talented group of level designers to bring their ideas to life.
You will also be responsible for brainstorming and researching mission guidelines, assisting level designers during prototyping, and outlining the gameplay experience in mission documentation.
Additionally, you will coordinate and oversee mission level designers, balance artistic aspects with technical constraints, and provide mentorship and constructive feedback to your level design team.
We are looking for a creative and innovative individual who can bring a fresh perspective to our team and help us create a game that exceeds our players' expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the world design director and other core team members to define the game's vision.
- Brainstorm and research mission guidelines.
- Assist level designers during prototyping.
- Outline the gameplay experience in mission documentation.
- Coordinate and oversee mission level designers.
- Balance artistic aspects with technical constraints.
- Provide mentorship and constructive feedback to your level design team.
Requirements:
- A college diploma in Game Design or equivalent.
- At least 8 years of experience in the video game industry or other relevant experience and 3 years of leadership experience.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- A solid understanding of level design and all phases of video game production.
- Excellent time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- An innovative, creative, and collaborative spirit.
