Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our team at GFR Ingredients Inc. as part of our ongoing efforts to deliver high-quality food products.

About the Role

This is a permanent position requiring 42 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate should have a strong educational background, preferably a college diploma or equivalent, and relevant experience in a similar field.

The successful applicant will be responsible for operating machinery, processing, and packaging food products, as well as maintaining a clean and safe working environment. This includes performing routine machine adjustments, recording production data, and observing processing conditions to ensure quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machinery Operation: Operate various types of machinery to process and package food products, including blending, flavouring, conditioning, drying, flattening, stripping, and cutting raw tobacco leaves.
  • Quality Control: Check products for defects and ensure they meet company standards.
  • Machine Maintenance: Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and efficient production environment.
  • Reporting and Communication: Record production information, inform supervisors of mechanical malfunctions or product irregularities, and make adjustments to process variables as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (food science, industrial technology, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment.
  • Safe Food Handling certificate.
