Job Title: Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team at K & K HEATING AND REFRIGERATION SERVICES INC.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating and cooling systems, including air conditioning and refrigeration units. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC systems and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain heating and cooling systems, including air conditioning and refrigeration units
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems
  • Measure and lay out reference points for installation
  • Read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements
  • Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components
  • Coach and instruct apprentices
  • Perform maintenance tasks such as recharging systems with refrigerant, checking and testing regulators, and calibrating systems
  • Handle, recover, and store refrigerants
  • Repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, or heat pump systems
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
