The Team Lead - Program Development position at BGC Brantford is a key role in the delivery of our School-Age After School Program. As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for designing and implementing programs that meet the needs of children and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and deliver programs that align with the needs of children and families, ensuring a safe and engaging environment.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance, leadership, and direct supervision to Before/After School Program Leaders, placement students, and volunteers.
  • Program Evaluation: Evaluate programs and make recommendations to modify or enhance programming to improve effectiveness in meeting developmental, social, and cultural needs of children.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's needs, participation, behaviors, and any incidents.
  • Physical Demands: Meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting up to 50lbs, bending, squatting, sitting, twisting, and reaching.
Requirements
  • Education: Early Childhood Education, Recreation, CYW, Teaching certification, Social Worker, or related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children, program development, execution, and evaluation.
  • Qualifications: Current First Aid/CPR, Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators (if applicable).
Working Conditions
  • Environment: Work in an air-conditioned environment with occasional outdoor programming in various seasons.
  • Physical Environment: Fast-paced and demanding environment with high physical demands.
