Residential Landscape Design Professor

We are seeking a highly qualified Part-Time Academic to teach Lectures and Labs for HORT2008: Residential Landscape Design at Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University in China. The successful candidate will have excellent oral, written communication skills, collegiality, and interpersonal skills. A PhD in Landscape Horticulture or Landscape Architecture is required, or a Master's degree with two years of experience, or an Instructor who has taught this course in a post-secondary institution.
The position involves teaching online, synchronous classes using Brightspace, which requires significant online delivery knowledge and familiarity. The Part-time Academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the online course, including lectures, labs, test preparation, and online evaluation. Collaborative work with an Instructor in FAFU is expected.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Teach online, synchronous lectures and labs for HORT2008: Residential Landscape Design
- Develop and deliver high-quality online content
- Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with the Instructor in FAFU on course development and delivery
The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience. The position reports to the Chair of the Department, Dr. Gefu Wang-Pruski.
Required Qualifications:
- PhD in Landscape Horticulture or Landscape Architecture, or a Master's degree with two years of experience, or equivalent
- Experience in teaching in a post-secondary educational institution
- Excellent oral, written communication skills, collegiality, and interpersonal skills
