Job Title: Landscape Architect

Architecture49 is seeking a skilled Landscape Architect to join our Halifax office. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and visually compelling designs that meet the needs of our clients.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Landscape Architect who can work collaboratively with our team to deliver high-quality projects. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of landscape architecture principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities
  • Develop creative technical solutions and prepare visually compelling graphic presentations.
  • Assist in the preparation of conceptual design, design development, and construction documents, including details and specifications.
  • Manage multiple projects, budgets, and effectively meet deadlines.
  • Assist in the preparation of design briefs, cost estimates, and technical reports.
  • Manage client and stakeholder expectations, consultant coordination, and approvals.
  • Ensure project deliverables comply with local standards and contract requirements.
  • Assist with contract administration and site inspections.
Requirements
  • Professional Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working as a Landscape Architect.
  • Member or Associate Member of APALA or eligibility for membership.
  • Preference given to candidates with knowledge of BIM principles & workflows, REVIT software, AutoCAD software, Civil3D, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft 365 environment.
