The Westin Nova Scotian, a premier hotel in the Halifax Seaport District, is seeking a skilled Conference Services Manager to join our team. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing all aspects of meetings and events to ensure total client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and execute all aspects of meetings and events, including set up, meal functions, room reservations, group billing, and recreation arrangements.
- Act as the liaison between clients and hotel staff to ensure seamless event execution.
- Prepare and manage event orders, group resumes, and food and beverage menus.
- Compile revenue forecasts and manage group billing.
- Ensure guest satisfaction from inception to check-out.
- Coordinate with hotel departments and outside vendors to meet client requirements.
- At least 2 years of experience in hotel catering or event management.
- Degree in hotel management preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexible hours.
- Knowledge of Marriott's Sales & Catering CI/TY system considered an asset.
