Job Summary
Humber River Health is seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our compensation, benefits, and HRIS functions in the role of Manager, Total Rewards & HR Systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members on compensation, benefits, and HRIS functions while ensuring services and work are performed in compliance with collective agreements, policies, and procedures.
- Facilitate frequent cross-departmental meetings with key stakeholders to ensure adequate processes, procedures, audits, and system backups are in place to deliver seamless data integration and data accuracy and mitigate errors, financial risks, and employee impact.
- Serve as primary contact for HRIS system matters such as system implications, modifications, software upgrades, and maintenance; oversee User Acceptance Testing on all HR applications.
- Oversee the hospital's job evaluation system to ensure maintenance of fair, equitable, and transparent compensation structure.
- Service as point of escalation for HOODIP challenges and work with internal and external stakeholders on resolution.
- Lead annual external compensation benchmark exercise in partnership with third-party consultant.
- Prepare reports and analyses as necessary.
- Support collective bargaining through the preparation of costing analyses and benchmarking of compensatory items within the scope of collective agreements.
- Lead RFPs, policy reviews, projects, and initiatives as required.
- Provide leadership coverage for the Talent Acquisition team as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Minimum 3 years leadership experience in a unionized environment.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Human Resources with at least 5 years of experience in compensation, benefits, and HRIS management.
- Thorough knowledge of compensation principles and practices, payroll procedures, CRA guidelines, and benefits administration required.
- Experience in administering short-term and long-term disability.
- Certified Compensation Professional, Certified Benefits Professional, or Project Management Professional designation an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
