As a Facilities Intern, you will play a key role in supporting our facilities management team with various tasks and projects.

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive compensation package, including:

  • $18.06 per hour, paid bi-weekly
  • 40 hours per week, regular working schedule

About the Role

The Facilities Intern will assist our facilities management team with technical support duties, relating to facility management activities for Norfolk County facilities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting Gas Technicians with HVAC maintenance and installation duties
  • Assisting Technicians with on-going building maintenance
  • Collecting and organizing facility data and drawings
  • Supporting HVAC and building engineering tasks
  • Managing facilities capital construction projects
  • Collections and analysis of energy data
  • Analysis of energy and sustainability projects
  • Corporate energy conservation awareness program
  • Facility component inventory and data organization
  • Annual energy reporting

Requirements

To be successful as a Facilities Intern, you must have:

  • University or College student enrolled in mechanical/electrical engineering, architecture, or gas technician or facilities management course (or related field)
  • Valid Class G2 Driver's License
  • Computer expertise to apply Corporate software
  • Able to operate a pickup truck, small equipment, and power and hand tools
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Good time management, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in general operation of office equipment, i.e. computer, photocopier, etc.
