Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Craftsman to join our team at NATIONAL DRY COMPANY LIMITED. This role will be responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery, as well as supervising other workers.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and has strong problem-solving skills. As a Senior Maintenance Craftsman, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and repairing machinery to ensure optimal performance
  • Servicing and inspecting equipment to identify potential issues
  • Coaching and instructing apprentices on maintenance procedures
  • Supervising other workers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  1. Performing routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts
  2. Identifying and troubleshooting irregularities and malfunctions in machinery
  3. Constructing foundations for new machinery and equipment
  4. Repairing or replacing defective machinery parts
  5. Operating machining tools to fabricate parts
  6. Installing and testing new machinery and equipment
  7. Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and meets company regulations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
