Critical Care Nurse

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our team at Sechelt Hospital. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will provide emergency nursing care to clients/patients of all ages presenting with a wide variety of symptoms within an uncontrolled environment. You will also care for critically ill patients/clients with unpredictable outcomes attached to life-support equipment, and/or clients in post-anaesthetic recovery.

About the Location
Sechelt Hospital is located on the lower Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, approximately 50 km northwest of Vancouver. The hospital serves over 30,000+ residents of the Lower Sunshine Coast and provides a full range of services, including Emergency care, Renal program – community dialysis units, Mental Health and Substance Use Services, surgical services, birthing for low-risk pregnancies and imaging services.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have a current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). You will also have completion of a recognized critical care nursing program or completion of a recognized advanced program in intensive care or emergency care nursing, or two (2) years' recent, related experience. You will have a broad knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a client and family centered care model, and a demonstrated ability in nursing practice related to designated client group.
