Job Title: Medical Examiner - Pathology Specialist
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Examiner to join our team at the Government of Alberta. As a Medical Examiner, you will be responsible for assisting with or performing autopsies and surgical specimen examinations under pathologists' supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with or perform autopsies and surgical specimen examinations under pathologists' supervision
- Remove organs and tissue specimens from bodies in morgue as directed by pathologist
- Conduct specialty residency training and obtain Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination
Requirements:
- Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry
- 5 years or more of experience
