Job Summary

We are seeking an Associate, Fundraising Granting & Governance to join our team. This role will play a critical part in delivering donor-funded projects and initiatives, emphasizing problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Analyze complex funding allocation issues and develop strategies to improve efficiency.
  2. Monitor grant projects to ensure effective execution, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  3. Evaluate workflows and develop project plans, schedules, standard operating procedures, tools, and templates to enhance productivity.
  4. Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive approach to measure and report financial impact to donors.
  5. Collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver high-quality results.
Requirements
  • University or college degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in fundraising or philanthropy, with a background in healthcare or higher education considered an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) with advanced skills in Excel and Visio.
  • Understanding of process improvement and change management.
  • Strong business communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience in developing processes and procedures.
  • Strong diplomatic and motivational skills, including ability to partner with diverse stakeholders within a complex governance setting.
  • Excellent facilitation skills and high emotional intelligence in issues management.
