**Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator**

**Temporary Full Time**

**HOURS OF WORK**:35 hours/week

**START DATE/TERM**:January 2025

**REPORTS TO**:Director, Communications and Strategic Partnerships

This position will support the agency’s growth by assisting with fundraising campaigns, donor stewardship, and corporate donations. This role also includes content creation, event support, and maintaining records.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Fundraising Campaigns & Corporate donations**:

- Assist with the planning, coordination and execution of fundraising campaigns.
- Assist in researching corporate donation opportunities and preparing basic proposals for corporate and in-kind contributions
- Maintain records of corporate partnerships and donations in CRM system and provide updates to Director.

**Grant Management**:

- assist with post-grant reporting by compiling data and outcomes as directed by the Director.

**Donor Stewardship**:

- Ensure accurate data entry and tracking of donors in the CRM system, including gifts, interactions and communications.
- Help prepare thank-you letters, donor acknowledgements, and other stewardship materials.
- Support the implementation of donor recognition activities ensuring timely follow-up with donors.
- Assist with donor communications and compiling impact reports for distribution.

**Content Creation**:

- Provide content and editing support for internal and external newsletters, annual report, donor stewardship and other stories for print and digital channels.
- Conduct interviews with staff, youth, volunteers, donors, and other stakeholders for content creation opportunities.

**Branding**:

- Support Macaulay’s branding strategy across the organization.
- Support brand quality control by ensuring all organizational communications and marketing pieces align with brand style, messaging and usage guidelines
- Assist in the development and implementation of new branded templates for social media and other collateral.
- Create and maintain guidelines and support training for staff and volunteers on the use of graphic identity.

**Social Media**:

- Maintain all aspects of Macaulay social media channels
- Create basic graphics for social media channels, based on brand guidelines, using Canva and other graphic design templates
- Monitor, analyse and compile reports on social media data

**Event Support**:

- Assist with the coordination of fundraising events and community engagement activities, including logistics and volunteer coordination.
- Engage in promotion, outreach, evaluation and follow-up for these events.

**Technology**
- Oversee and implement website updates, and ensure compliance with WGAC 2.0 AA.
- Update website content and conduct regular maintenance checks to the website, including links, buttons and updates to Plugins
- Support the launch of a new website led by the Director
- Maintain contact information and records in centralized database

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- 1-2 years experience in a fundraising, marketing or communications role.
- Degree or diploma in communications, public-relations, marketing, or related field an asset
- Knowledge of fundraising processes, best practices and current industry trends.
- Demonstrated ability to project manage and coordinate events
- Excellent interpersonal skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
- Basic experience in graphic design (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, etc).
- Knowledge and/or experience in website design and/or maintenance
- Initiative and creativity to develop innovative solutions to challenges and problems
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective work partnerships with colleagues of diverse

- Effective time management skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize
- Able to work independently and within a team environment
- Acceptable Vulnerable Sector Police Reference Check

**SALARY**:Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator Salary Scale (Starting at $30.55/ ($55,606 - $64,156 per annum) with Competitive Benefits Package (health & dental) and paid time off entitlements (starting at 20 vacation days & 3 float days)
