Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team. As an RPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional resident care, adhering to established protocols and physician orders.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and conditions, initiating remedial health measures as needed.
  • Organize and direct functions related to resident care, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Assist in the management of nursing and personal care staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Train and develop new staff, referring concerns to the Director of Care.

Requirements

  • Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
  • A passion for caring for seniors and a commitment to delivering exceptional care.
  • Registration/eligibility for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
  • Previous experience in long-term care, with comprehensive knowledge of duties.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks with urgency.
  • Excellent communication and comprehension skills.
  • Developed problem-solving skills, with a focus on the big picture.
