Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Technician to join our team at First Truck Centre in Kamloops, BC. As a key member of our shop, you will contribute to our commitment to quality and professionalism in the trucking industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of hydraulic truck mounted equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on cranes, bucket trucks, and hi-rail equipment.
- Communicate effectively with customers and management to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues.
- Document repairs and maintenance activities accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace, adhering to company standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyman Certificate (Apprentice level 4 technician will be considered).
- BC Class 5 driver's license (Class 3 with air brakes or Class 1 is considered an asset).
- Strong mechanical aptitude, with experience in diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.
- Excellent customer service skills, with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
