Job Description

As Director of Sales for International Leisure Sales, you will play a vital role in driving business growth and expanding existing business through strategic promotional efforts and sales channels. Reporting to the Group Director of Sales, you will be responsible for developing the sales team and fostering a high-performing sales environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and oversee sales activities on a daily basis, ensuring sales action plans are regularly reviewed and implemented.
  • Foster strong relationships with customers to ensure their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Actively promote customer awareness throughout the organization, ensuring their requirements are effectively communicated.
  • Manage top-producing accounts within the segment, focusing on high-end suite business, and ensuring client visitations and entertainment targets are met.
  • Ensure that all relevant systems are updated with client information, production, and sales activities.
  • Achieve and/or exceed monthly/quarterly and annually established sales targets.
  • Handle daily sales operations, including market evaluation and needs assessment.
  • Develop and recommend sales action plans or procedure revisions to increase production in various market segments.
  • Assist the Group Director of Sales in producing annual Sales Plans, hotel budgets, and departmental performance plans aligned with team individual targets.
  • Provide regular sales progress updates and booking trends analysis in respective market segments.
  • Be responsible for the Leisure industry segment.
  • Attend overseas sales trips and roadshows as required.
  • Establish measurable quality objectives and actively participate in their review.
  • Provide coaching, counseling, and discipline to colleagues to ensure their ability to meet customer and hotel needs.
  • Determine necessary colleague competence and provide relevant training or actions to satisfy these needs.
  • Monitor Leisure incentive programs, ensuring all departments are briefed and aware of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Achieve and exceed budgeted room nights and revenue goals annually.
  • Utilize the marketing plan to discover new and potential business opportunities.
  • Ensure accuracy in forecasting revenues with the most up-to-date information.
  • Assist Sales/Catering/Convention services in obtaining necessary customer information and closing business.
  • Participate in daily/weekly Revenue meetings, sales strategy meetings, and pre-convention meetings.
