We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Goods Transport Professional to join our team at BHAGAT LOGISTICS LTD.
Job Description:As a Heavy Goods Transport Professional, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials in straight or articulated trucks. This role involves performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good condition.
- You will oversee all aspects of the vehicle, including inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
- Emergency roadside repairs will also be part of your responsibilities.
- Address customers' complaints or concerns regarding transportation services.
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
- Loading and unloading goods will be an essential part of your duties.
- You will operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption accurately.
- A valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A) is mandatory for this position.
- This is an on-the-road job with a permanent work term.
- The language required for communication is English.
- The average working hours per week will be approximately 35 hours.
The estimated salary range for this position is between $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
